About Wembley Park

Wembley Park is an exciting new urban heart for Brent and North West London. A far cry from the previous unloved acres of car parking that was only used on event days, Wembley Park is now a place to enjoy 365 days a year, thanks to our developers Quintain who have invested over £2bn in our neighbourhood to date. Since 2004, Quintain has been working on Wembley Park as on one of London’s largest development schemes, transforming the long-neglected space around the National Stadium into a vibrant new district of London. You can now live, work, shop and play in this world-famous cultural neighbourhood, a globally-significant yet locally-loved London district.

Wembley Park Heritage

Wembley Park has the unique quality of a place which has made history for generations and still does. Its heritage began in 1792 when it gained its name at the hand of a leading landscape designer. Since then its size and proximity to central London has made it the natural location to hold large-scale and nationally-significant events.

The first of which was the British Empire Exhibition in the 1920s. Visitors flocked to the exhibition from around the world, and King George V’s opening speech was the first ever radio broadcast by a British monarch. The individual sites at the exhibition have been inspiration to the naming of some of Wembley Park’s buildings and roads today.

In more recent years, you might know Wembley Park for hosting two Olympic Games (in 1948 and in 2012) as well as the 1966 World Cup, Live Aid and innumerable defining moments in musical history such as the Beatles’ last UK concert.

Independent Retailers

Wembley Park is also home to a number of independent retailers and eateries. Bike specialists Twenty3c, gender-neutral hair salon Chop Chop, independent yoga studio More Yoga, famous bakery and baking school Bread Ahead and authentic Italian eatery Pasta Remoli are just some of the independent retailers than enrich Wembley Park.

Global Cuisine

Boxpark Wembley is the largest Boxpark to date with over 25 street food vendors, the UK's first Bad Axe, VR experience MeetspaceVR and a packed programme of events.

Iconic Venues

Built in 1934 as the empire Pool, the arena has been an iconic music and live entertainment venue for over 80 years. After a substantial renovation of the Grade 2 listed building, it was renamed ‘The SSE Arena, Wembley’ in 2014. In 2022, The SSE Arena, Wembley become OVO Arena Wembley.

Public art and culture

Culture vultures enjoy National Theatre productions at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre and a cultural programme including notable art installations such as Jason Bruges' 'The Shadow Wall' and Miriamandtom's Crossover artwork.
