Saturday 2 April 2016 marked the 10 year anniversary of the reopening of the Grade II listed SSE Arena. This world-famous building has hosted the biggest names in music over the last 50 years, including The Beatles, Beyoncé, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Who and U2. Comedians Michael McIntyre and Kevin Hart have also performed sell-out shows at the venue, which has hosted two Olympic Games in 1948 and in 2012.
The £36m refurbishment, which was the first project undertaken by Quintain, involved moving the entrance of the Arena from the west entrance to the east entrance facing Wembley Stadium, building new backstage and hospitality facilities and saw the creation of Arena Square, now the setting for Brent Civic Centre, the Hilton London Wembley and Wembley Park Boulevard.
The SSE Arena reopened its doors to the public on 2 April 2006 with Depeche Mode headlining, and now hosts over 100 events every year.
