Boxpark Wembley is Now Open!
Boxpark Wembley, the largest site to date from developers Boxpark who recently ranked in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100, has officially opened its doors offering a diverse selection of street food vendors and a year-round schedule of entertainment in Wembley Park. Boxpark Wembley provides the ultimate fan zone in the world-famous location fast becoming the must-visit destination for North West London, offering an immersive food, drink and leisure experience based on the Boxpark philosophy of Eat. Drink. Play.
Providing a taste of things to come, Boxpark Wembley opened with a phenomenal launch weekend including a Rinse FM takeover featuring live sets from world-renowned artists including WSTRN, CASisDEAD, The Heatwave, Heartless Crew, Redlight and Unknown T, as well as a night of bingo mayhem which saw Tim Westwood team up with immersive entertainment legends Bingo Lingo.
The newly opened Boxpark Wembley features a brand-new competitive leisure theme bar – PlayBox. Located on the site’s upper level, PlayBox will feature a Miami style shuffle board unit, day-glo ping pong, pool and football tables. The main bar will also feature the largest Staropramen tanks in the UK, serving up high-quality unpasteurised beer direct from the Staropramen brewery in Prague.
Roger Wade, CEO Boxpark says: “We are building on our Eat.Drink.Play brand ethos by developing a new leisure area called PlayBox at Boxpark Wembley. We want people to come to Boxpark to enjoy world-class street food and great beer, have fun in PlayBox, followed by a boogie in BeatBox. We want to build the ultimate night out, not just a place to eat and drink!”
One of the many exciting details setting Boxpark Wembley apart from its predecessors at Shoreditch and Croydon is the opening of Indian comfort food concept KoolCha, the brainchild of Michelin star chef Rohit Ghai and his business partner Abhishake Sangwan. KoolCha will serve an extensive menu of North Indian cuisine with the highlight being traditional ‘Kulcha’ flatbreads. Further vendors at Boxpark Wembley include: Boki, TapaVino, WOLF, Gabagools, Oatopia, Bombay Burrito, Hola Guacamole, Zucla, Mama Jacq’s, Nanny Bills, Smoky Boys, Mitsuryu, Kabab, Spice Shack, Zia Lucia, The Athenian, Ugly Dumpling, Udderlicious and Thai Express. With 1,700 homes already on site and plans in place for 7,500 as well as shops, a new theatre and now Boxpark, Wembley Park has been transformed. Adding to the world famous sporting and music events for which the area is known, Wembley Park is now a buzzing destination with culture, entertainment and a community at its heart. In a nod to the arrival of BoxPark Wembley, this Christmas Wembley Park presents Xmasbox, the ultimate convenient Christmas experience, with all you need in one destination. Wembley Park’s designer Christmas tree, Fata Morgana, has even taken its cue from the iconic shipping containers that Boxpark is known for.
