Color Run London 2016
We are delighted to announce The Color Run Presented by Skittles will be coming back to Wembley Park on 12 June 2016 for the fourth year – forgive the pun – running. The largest and most colourful 5km run takes place annually across 5 continents around the world and Wembley Park will kick-start the UK’s involvement in the ‘happiest 5km’ for 2016. The Color Run promotes the idea of healthiness, happiness and friendship to all its participants.
What makes it so colourful?
Runners are sent a white Color Run branded T-shirt in their event pack to wear on the day. As there are no stopwatches or timers involved in The Color Run, participants are able to run, skip or walk the 5km course around Wembley Park at their own pace, getting covered in brilliantly-bright eruptions of powder paint (don’t worry it’s hypo-allergenic) at each kilometre milestone along the way.
After completing the course, the festival finish line offers more fun, with DJs, MCs and artists taking to the stage. Even more coloured powder explodes at this stage – covering the runners to ensure there is not a spec of white fabric left on an athlete’s T-shirt when they make their way home!
If you still need convincing that The Color Run is the best fun run on the planet, take a look at some happy runners from previous years at Wembley Park before signing up to take part yourself! Tweet us as you get ready, get your pack and arrive on site! We’ll see you there!
