Cycling Tour Series 2017 is coming to Wembley Park
Cycling is part of Wembley’s rich heritage of events and returns for the first time since the Wembley six-day track cycling left in the 1980’s. The 2017 Tour Series will be coming to Wembley Park on Tuesday 16th May. This is a free event for the entire community to enjoy and it will be a fun-packed day of races. The Tour Series will return for its ninth season of unique team-based racing, with ten towns and city centres hosting the only British domestic cycle race series to be televised on terrestrial, free-to-air TV.
At the Wembley round, you’ll be able to see stars of the men’s and women’s domestic peloton, including a number of Olympians, as there will also be a Matrix Fitness Grand Prix women’s race taking place on the same circuit, just before the men’s race. The race will start and finish outside the London Designer Outlet (LDO) and will see the cyclists race around Wembley Stadium and along Wembley Way. There will also be food and drink stalls, a promotional zone and a range of community-based activities to get involved in on the day as you watch the cyclists. This festival of cycling is a fun day out for the whole family and not one to be missed!
