Thousands of festival goers celebrate in colour at Wembley Park

More than 12,000 festival goers were part of a kaleidoscopic sea of colour on Saturday (02.08) to celebrate the renowned Holi One festival at Wembley Park. Participants from across London came together in the sunshine to enjoy live entertainment by leading DJs and dance groups such as Tim Cullen, Ben Wood and Kosmetiq. Visitors at the event, joined in on a countdown, which after an hour concluded in an eruption of colour and the release of brightly coloured powders into the air – the hallmark of the event.

Inspired by the ancient event called Hindu Holi Festival, Holi One celebrates the beginning of spring, signifies the victory of good over evil and marks the beginning of the New Year to many Hindus.

Gary Bell, Commercial Manager, Wembley Park commented: “’Wembley Park was alive with colour for the Holi One Festival and we are delighted we could host such a great event. The festival brought together the local and wider community to enjoy a fantastic day of sun and music and it was clear all visitors were having a wonderful time.”

HOLI ONE now takes place at many cities around the world including Paris, Sydney and Madrid and is currently touring around the UK.
