Wembley Park on a shoestring

London may be one of the most expensive cities in the world, but here in Wembley Park you’ll find a multitude of things to do without breaking the bank!

Learn something new

Wembley Park’s Yellow Pavilion is an all-new community hub offering a programme of events and activities to enliven the mind and rejuvenate the body. Learn to dance with attitude at Elan Arts’ free Saturday morning street dance workshops; get to grips with a crochet hook; acquire the skills to cultivate a beautiful garden in a small urban space, or get in shape with a supervised Couch25K running programme.

Get out, hang out and chill out!

Soak up the long-awaited spring sunshine by heading out into the open spaces of Wembley Park. Lunch al fresco in the Market Square; relax and unwind on the cool shaded grass of Elvin Square Gardens; or hang out with friends and drink in the matchless views from the top of the Spanish Steps.

Head down Wembley Way and you’ll find yourself in a public gallery as part of a year-long street-art project. First up is renowned artist Mr Doodle, whose spectacular installation includes a mind-blowing 43million square inches of hand-drawn doodling!

There’s a good chance of spotting a celeb in the area around Wembley Stadium, but if you’re out of luck you can still feel close to the stars at Wembley Park’s very own Square of Fame. See how you measure up to the pavement handprints of iconic artists including Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Michael Flatley – it’s just like Hollywood Walk of Fame, but right here in London.

And if the temperature soars, while Wembley Park sizzles in a heatwave you can cool off in the street fountains in Arena Square – hours of fun for the young, and the young at heart!

Grab a bargain bite

Can’t afford a round-the-world ticket? You can eat your way around the globe by sampling the tantalising array of street food on offer right here in Wembley Park. Just follow your nose to Market Square, where you’ll find an ever-changing line-up of stalls and pop-ups offering everything from gnocchi to noodles, pastries to paella and burritos to biryanis.
