Wembley Park Street Art
Head down to Wembley Park and check out our new art instillation Flight. This major new commission by London-based street artist Remi Rough was produced to celebrate the commencement of our summer cultural programme, Summer of Play.
nown for his dramatic and colourful abstract compositions that have transformed buildings and locations around the world, Rough was inspired by the Wembley Park site’s flow of people in devising the concept for Flight. With the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium in the background, the design is viewed as distinct elements until the viewer stands directly in front, at which point the image dramatically locks into place.
Check out nearly 43 million sq inches of doodling which have transformed the pedway legs of Wembley Stadium into an iconic masterpiece. Made up of idiosyncratic characters the piece of work was inspired by iconic Wembley moments, from music events to football triumphs.
Global Street Art produced a giant mural in Wembley Park – welcoming the world. Installed on a 40m long hoarding set against the backdrop of Wembley Stadium, Global Street Art designed the artwork with nearly 100 local school children. The mural is the second commission of the Wembley Park Street Art Project, an ongoing programme transforming spaces across Wembley Park with different installations, showcasing a variety of the world’s greatest street artists.
