History of Champion
The company was originally started by the Feinbloom family in 1919 and began life as Knickerbocker Knitting Mills in Rochester, New York. In 1926 they developed their first line of sweaters and sportswear and partnered with Wentworth Military Academy to provide their school uniform.
Later, in 1968 the brand changed the athletics market further by creating stylish, mix-and-match Physical Education uniforms for women. Their flagship store was opened in London in 2017, the brand’s first European store. Two years later in 2019 they celebrated 100 years of trading and creating timeless Champion classics.
