History of Pizza Express

Pizza Express was founded by Peter Boizot, who opened the first restaurant in Soho, London, back in 1965. Armed with his passion for Italian food and disappointed with the quality of pizza already in London, he had an authentic oven shipped over from Italy. That is where the Pizza Express journey began.
