Thursday 11th March 2021 2021 | 12pm-1pm: Book Club Session with Monique Roffey and Georgina Godwin.
This book club session will discuss Monique Roffey’s book ‘The Mermaid of Black Conch’, Winner of the Costa Novel Award 2020. Monique Roffey is an award-winning Trinidadian-born British writer. Joining the discussion will be Georgina Godwin, journalist and radio host born and brought up in Zimbabwe.
Starting Monday 8th March 2021 – Gender Matters Training for Professionals
The panel event described above will also feature in the second edition of Global Thinking’s Gender Matters training, which is hosted in partnership with Brent Council. This three-day training, staring on the 8th of March, will bring together youth workers, professionals and practitioners to explore gender equality and address gender-based violence affecting young people.
