Join Brent for a series of virtual events to celebrate International Women's Day 2021.

The theme for this year's International Women's Day is ‘Choose to Challenge’. Gender equality affects us all. Join our celebration and make International Women’s Day your day! This year, we’re taking our event online and will be hosting a week of lunchtime events to celebrate International Women’s Day. Find out more below:

Wednesday 10th March 2021 | 12pm-1pm: Mary-Ann Stephenson in conversation with Dawn Butler MP.

Our keynote speaker Mary-Ann Stephenson is the Director of the Women’s Budget Group. Mary-Ann has worked for women’s equality and human rights for over twenty years, both in the UK and around the world. This session will be in conversation with Dawn Butler MP for Brent Central.

Starting Monday 8th March 2021 – Gender Matters Training for Professionals

The panel event described above will also feature in the second edition of Global Thinking’s Gender Matters training, which is hosted in partnership with Brent Council. This three-day training, staring on the 8th of March, will bring together youth workers, professionals and practitioners to explore gender equality and address gender-based violence affecting young people.
