The Goddess of Swan Lake: A Bold Reimagining
Experience Swan Lake like never before. This innovative production, by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Sujata Banerjee Dance Company, fuses Tchaikovsky’s classic score with the evocative storytelling of Kathak dance.
Inspired by Hindu mythology, where swans symbolise purity and Saraswati, the Goddess of the arts, bestows power on her swans, this adaptation tells a tale of love, betrayal, and triumph over evil.
Directed by Sujata Banerjee, with a score arranged by Howard Moody and conducted by Orlando Jopling, this reimagining blends East and West into a powerful, unforgettable performance.
