Learn the basics of bread making in our fun and interactive workshops.
You'll get the chance to learn how to make 3 different types of bread. In these workshops you will learn how to knead a dough, roll out or shape various breads, prove a dough with yeast and the technique of making flat breads and much more.
You'll make incredible loaves of bread from scratch, including sourdough, farmhouse and flat breads. We'll teach you all about sourdough and yeast, breaking down the process, debunking the myths and equipping you with a strong foundation in bread skills. All taught by our own experienced in-house baker Mark Banfield.
The workshops will take place over 3 weeks and will run for 4 hours to allow time for the bread to proof and be baked with each week a different bread been produced. This will provide opportunity for discussion and reflection, to meet new students and make new connections. At the end of it all you’ll get to take your creations home to share with your friends and family.
All equipment and ingredients will be provided all you have to bring is yourself, an apron and a can do attitude !
These classes will be using gluten bread so are not suitable for those with gluten allergies. Those with intolerances to gluten who may wish to participate please let the organiser know so they can make gluten free alternatives. Please let the organiser know of any food allergies/intolerances.
