You’ll love spending time at Wembley Park’s library, part of the bright and modern Brent Civic Centre building, on Engineers Way, right in the very centre of Wembley Park next to the famous stadium and arena and beautiful outdoor spaces.
Learning is fun!
You can be 8 or 80 years old, it’s never too soon or too late to learn something new. At the library in Wembley Park, there are so many ways that you can get involved in free classes and workshops, clubs and advice clinics. And that’s on top of all the things you expect to find in a great library, including all the latest fiction and non-fiction books, up-to-date newspapers and magazines, children’s books, reference books, computers, scanners, printers and free WiFi. There’s plenty of comfy seating and quiet reading areas too. Brent and Wembley Park is an amazingly diverse area, so if you want to find books in your own language (or maybe try and learn a new one!), then there are lots of titles for adults and children in foreign languages as well.
Join a club at Wembley library
At Wembley library there’s a calendar of weekly and monthly clubs that cover a wide range of interests. Settle down for story time on Monday’s Bookstart Story and Rhyme Time for Under 5s. Or get your IT skills up to scratch at the beginners IT club. If you want to find likeminded folk, try out the knitting club or monthly Scrabble sessions too. And if you’re looking for advice and support about employment, the Work Rights Centre, funded by the Wembley Park Community Fund, provides free advice with a weekly clinic.
