Here are all the kid-friendly activities and things to do at International Busking Day in Wembley Park.
Kid-Friendly Entertainers at International Busking Day
There are plenty of children’s entertainers performing at this year’s festivities. Check them out below. Your kids might know of these performers from YouTube and other children’s programming. If not, they’re in for a treat – and you are, too. Even though these performers specialise in entertaining kids, their humour and talent are sure to impress everyone. Little Stars Circus creates a fun and vibrant atmosphere that encourages everyone to get involved. They’ll be performing an exciting routine of jaw-dropping circus skills that will dazzle the whole family. Able Mable is a world-class street performer who specialises in delighting children of all ages. Using wild props and her legendary clowning skills, she’ll have everyone laughing out loud. The Bridge put on a fun and energetic classic hip hop jam – they’re all about peace, love and unity. With their DJs, graffiti writers, dancers, and MCs, you’ll join the friendliest block party on the planet. Tish Bell owns Showoffs Circus School and loves to show off her skills and tricks. Prepare to be entertained with aerial feats, clowning, and so much more.
In addition to these great performers, there are many other activities that will make children smile and have a good time. Make sure you check out the free face painters and balloon artists in Union Park. Of course, kids will also enjoy the entire festival and the wide variety of music throughout the day. There will also be a ton of walkabout performers, including Stilt Walkers, Roller Skaters, and Human Hedges. You read that correctly – these entertainers dress as walking topiary, and they’re happy to pose for hilarious photos.
Kids’ Activities at the International Busking Festival
Wembley Park is always a great place for kids and families, especially in the different playgrounds and play parks you’ll find scattered around the neighbourhood. If there is one thing for certain, kids love exploring new parks.
Just opposite the London Designer Outlet, you'll find an all-weather play park equipped with a slide, climbing frame towers, and shoots. Next, head to Union Park for the area’s newest all-weather playpark, complete with a wooden train and plenty of swings. There’s also another playpark nearby with an adventurous jungle gym, climbing ropes, and roundabouts. Finally, Elvin Gardens is home to a small but exciting playground with climbing frames and shapes.
If it’s a hot day, bring their cossies – there’s a paddling pool and splash fountains in Union Park, and it’s always a big hit with the little ones.
Family-Friendly Restaurants at Wembley Park
Finding a place to eat with picky little ones can be a challenge. Thankfully, Wembley Park is home to a number of family-friendly dining options that will satisfy all appetites.
The London Designer Outlet is home to TGI Fridays , Big Moe’s Diner, and Frankie & Benny’s, all of which have large children’s menus and a fun, casual atmosphere. These could be excellent choices for sitting and relaxing after a busy day wandering through Wembley Park and watching the buskers. Of course, Nando’s and Wagamama are both firm favourites for families, offering a relaxed ‘fast casual’ dining experience and healthy choices that taste great. If the kids want to pick their own ‘mix and match’ pasta, Pasta Remoli serves up handmade pasta and sauces. If everyone is in the mood for Italian, Zizzi is another great choice. Their extensive menu is packed with delicious options for adults, and kids love the ‘build your own pizza’ menu.
