Threads of the Windflower

The reflections of 'Threads in the Windflower' dance gently on the surface below, reminding us that identity, like water, is ever shifting but deeply rooted. Each face a seed of the community. Like flowers from distant lands rooted in the same soil, the park’s blossoms stand in harmony—each unique, yet together they weave the living beauty of Wembley Park’s united cultures.

This is a hand painted mural by Alec Saunders in mixed media including repurposed paint, like wildflowers reclaiming forgotten ground, brings new life to Wembley Park, brightening the environment with every burst of colour.

The mural is a collaboration informed by a spirited group of children from Fresh Arts. Flecks of gold leaf catch the light echoing the children’s role as small beacons of hope sewn into the heart of Wembley Park.
