Nov Run Club

Nov Run Club at BOXPARK Wembley in Wembley Park.

“It’s not just about promoting runs, it’s about creating an environment where people feel welcome.” – Arun Kang

'We aim to break diversity and accessibility barriers to the run community targeting Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic  runners to support health and wellbeing in our community.

Running is one of the most readily accessible sports, however, the individual obstacles to access this sport are often overlooked, hence why ethnic minority recreational runners comprise only 11% of the national running statistics. Specifically, in the London Borough of Brent, the ethnic minority community represent 64% of the local population yet participation in running and jogging is significantly lower in Brent (5.4%) compared to London (7.1%) according to the most recent data published by 2006 Active People Survey (2006).

Through our weekly Run Club, we are providing a space where people can connect, meet likeminded individuals and learn how to run under the guidance of qualified coaches. Using Wembley Box Park as a meet point, we create and run routes around Wembley suitable for beginner to intermediate fitness levels.'
