Whether you're easing back into fitness, training towards a goal, or just after a reason to get moving after work, the Wembley Park Running Club welcomes runners of every level.
Led by Rey Smart, each session takes you on laps around the upper level of Wembley Stadium, roughly a kilometre a loop, at a friendly, sociable pace. There's no pace group and no pressure. Run as little or as much as you like; faster runners simply lap the slower ones, so nobody's ever left running alone. Plenty of our regulars set themselves a target number of loops and build on it week by week, which makes it easy to see your progress. We talk less about pace and more about turning up, and that's what keeps people coming back. It's as much about the community as the miles.
We meet outside the London Designer Outlet's main entrance on Wembley Park Boulevard. Wednesdays, 19:00 to 20:00. The session is for ages 18 and over, free to join, and runs rain or shine (we'll only call it off for extreme weather warnings). Just turn up in your trainers and we'll do the rest.
And there's a little something for early birds: the first 50 people to sign up get an exclusive Wembley Park Running Club t-shirt, made just for the group. Pick your size when you book. Once they're gone, they're gone.

Meet your run leader: Rey Smart
If anyone embodies the spirit of running at Wembley Park, it's Rey. Back in 2014 he founded the neighbourhood's very first weekly run club, the original Run Wembley Wednesday, and helped shape the grassroots fitness scene that's been part of the area's identity ever since.
Rey is the founder of Be Smart Get Fit and a former ASICS FrontRunner, representing the brand on the global ambassador team and leading the official warm-ups for thousands at the ASICS London 10K. With over a decade of experience leading classes, community runs in London, New York, Paris and the Caribbean, and destination running events around the world, he brings infectious energy and a genuine knack for getting people moving, whatever their pace or starting point.
In 2026 he took on his boldest challenge yet, completing a 100km+ solo run around Barbados for Cancer Research UK. But on Wednesday evenings, you'll find him right back where it all started, on the Boulevard, ready to run with you.
Good to know
-
How far is the run?
The route is laps around the upper level of Wembley Stadium, with each loop coming in at around a kilometre. There's no fixed distance, so you run as many or as few laps as you like, and you can build up your loop count over time to track your progress.
-
Do I need to run at a certain pace?
Not at all. It's a single, sociable group with no pace bands. Rey leads and adapts, and faster runners naturally lap the slower ones, so you'll never feel isolated or left behind, whatever your starting point.
-
Who can take part?
The run is for ages 18 and over. Places are limited, so sign-ups close once we reach 70 runners.
-
What should I bring?
Come run-ready in appropriate kit and bring water. There may be a little treat waiting for you at the start, too.
-
Does it run in bad weather?
Yes, rain or shine. We'll only cancel for extreme weather warnings, and any cancellations are communicated through Eventbrite.
-
Is there bag storage or toilets?
There's no bag drop, so please travel light. Toilets are available in the London Designer Outlet.
-
Is the route accessible for buggies or runners with mobility needs?
Yes. The route is accessible. Please use the entrance via South Way, near the car park.
-
How do I reserve my place and my t-shirt?
Book through Eventbrite here. The first 50 sign-ups get an exclusive club t-shirt, so just select your size when you book.
