It can be hard to find fun and free things to do with the whole family in London.
Thankfully, Wembley Park is perfect for families, offering family-friendly dining, unique activities, and free events and entertainment. In addition, it's a well-connected, traffic-free oasis with great transport links and plenty of baby-change facilities throughout the area, with something buzzy and fun always happening.
Things to do in Wembley for kids
Here are some of our favourite family activities at Wembley Park.
Enjoy play parks (yes, multiple)
Kids love playing at Wembley Park, especially in multiple playgrounds and play parks dotted around the area. Head to Union Park and you'll find our newest all-weather playpark with a wooden train and plenty of swings. Union Park is also home to another playpark, with adventurous jungle jims, climbing ropes and roundabouts. If it's a dry day, Elvin Gardens has a small but incredibly fun playground with climbing frames and shapes.
Please note. The all-weather playpark opposite London Designer Outlet is currently closed for essential repairs.
Summer of Play
Summer of Play is back with a whole host of free days out for the whole family to get involved with. Try your hand at Bollywood dancing. Get messy with arts and crafts workshops. Learn to juggle with circus skill workshops. Say hello to aliens as they pop down to earth for a dance-off (yep!). Enjoy the sun, take part in some fun classes and have a day out like no other. Find out more here.
Next up - Boards, Beats and Bikes on Sunday 4th June - a free afternoon of pro-Skateboarding sessions, BMX tricks and a beatbox act like you've never seen before. Sit back and enjoy as pro-BMX and skateboarders show off their moves or give it a try yourself. And don't miss some exclusive performances from the Nick Howe trio - the world's first singer/guitarist, violin and beatbox act. Find out more here.
Get messy with free arts and crafts
Head to BOXPARK Wembley on Wednesday 31st May, Thursday 1st June and Sunday 4th June for free arts and crafts sessions, 12pm to 4pm. From origami to bracelet making, colouring, drawing and more, entertain the little ones as you enjoy some delicious food.
Eat at Wembley Park's restaurants
Eating out with kids can be a challenge. While some little ones are adventurous eaters, others have very definite ideas about they will and won't eat. Thankfully, Wembley Park has a wide array of restaurants that kids of all ages enjoy. The London Designer Outlet is home to all of your family's high street favourites, including Pizza Express, Frankie & Benny's, Nando's, TGI Friday's, and Wagamama.
Haute Dolci serves decadent desserts in a luxury setting. They even fly their award-winning gelato in from Italy – that's dedication to deliciousness. Pasta Remoli's build-your-own pasta dish menu suits the whole family, allowing you to create your perfect plate of pasta, even welcoming a smaller portion size for the kids.
Coming during the half term break? Pasta Remoli have a kid's eat-free offer from Monday 29th May to Friday 2nd June with every adult meal that is purchased. T&C's apply, please see in-store for details.
Explore the Wembley Park Art Trail
In search of some culture for your little ones? Wembley Park's free Art Trail allows you to learn about art and discover new artists alongside your kids. Walk throughout Wembley Park and admire all the vibrant pieces, from digital installations to colourful street art. Our free public art trail has an emphasis on art you can interact with (all ages welcome), so includes fascinating and playful pieces such as the Shadow Wall, designed by world famous Jason Bruges Studio, a light-based installation that mimics your movements. Dance, play and pose in front of the digital piece and watch your 'digital shadow' come to life. Kids are fascinated by our public art – and don't be surprised if your jaw drops right alongside theirs. You can find out more about the Wembley Park Art Trail here.
