Reunion

Celebrating the joy of coming together after months of social isolation, Winterfest 2021 will see the world premiere of 'Reunion' by Kumquat Lab. An exclusive commission, the unique light installation creates a series of technicolour light arches on market Square, forming a circular space where you are invited to meet and join with other spectators. Each 'tunnel' has a different shape representing the range of our individual experiences during the pandemic months. Common space will encourage visitors to interact, bringing the installation to life thus, here, the light at the end of the tunnel is a shared encounter with other people.

About Kumquat Lab

Brothers Tom and Sébastien grew up in Toulouse, in the south of France, before moving to London to study creative computing at Goldsmiths University. Eager to combine interactive technologies with their passion for architecture, they founded the studio Kumquat Lab through which they develop innovative ephemeral architectural works that bring public space to life.
