History of The White Horse

The White Horse is a very new addition to Wembley Park only opening in October 2020. The name was chosen in homage to the first-ever FA Cup Final match to be played in the nearby Wembley stadium. The huge turnout to the 1923 match meant vast crowds surged onto the pitch, mounting policemen, including one on a light-coloured horse. This became the defining image of the day and has since influenced the creation of the White Horse Bridge.
