London Designer Outlet, Mural, 2023
Located on the ground floor of London Designer Outlet is their latest artwork to celebrate their 10th birthday year - 'Let's Experience Together' by Wembley Park resident Bee Davies. Combining elements of street art and high fashion, the vibrant artwork uses bright colours, dynamic patterns and joyful imagery to embody the positive atmosphere that defines London Designer Outlet, serving as a visual representation of the outlet's remarkable 10-year journey and its profound influence on the local fashion scene that has shaped its success. Davies' love of colour and modern calligraphy shine through the giant mural, with each hand-illustrated component symbolising inclusivity, diversity, and fusion of London Designer Outlet’s past and present-day offerings.
An Illustrator with a passion for all things colour based in North West London, Bee Davies has worked with a number of clients since graduating Kingston university in 2013, including London Designer Outlet, Astrid & Miyu, Oree Boulangeries, EL&N Cafe, River Island, Derwent London, Kyra TV, D&D, Bluebird Cafe, Sassi Holford, Jimmy Choo, FatFace, & Other Stories, De Beers Diamonds, Maids to Measure, Superdrug, KGA, Grenson Shoes, BBC Three, Anthropologie and JC Decaux.
Bee Davies says:
“The idea for the London Designer Outlet commission was to create something that completely transforms the walkthrough area. We wanted to ensure continuity with the rest of the branding: keeping it bright and eye catching, but with my own illustrative flare. I wanted to create something interactive with photo opportunities dotted throughout so that you can become a part of the artwork too - much like the local community depicted in the artwork. The piece aims to showcase what is so fantastic about the LDO in bringing the local community together to have fun, socialise and take part in the activities that are on offer. Being a local to the Wembley Park area - I hope this piece can bring joy to every passerby - both local and new!”.
