Easter weekend is around the corner and it means one thing - a four day weekend!
Whilst it may be our second Easter weekend in some form of lockdown, it doesn't mean you can't celebrate and still have a weekend to remember. Thankfully, Wembley Park has a whole host of ways to celebrate from pocket park picnics, art-induced sunny strolls, yummy food and so much more. We've compiled a list of some of the best ways for you to make the most of your long weekend this Easter bank holiday.
Grab a coffee and go for a stroll around the Wembley Park Art Trail
Did you know Wembley Park is full of free public art for everyone to enjoy? With vibrant murals, playful light installations, interactive artwork and celebrity hand prints, Wembley Park's Art Trail makes the perfect afternoon activity. Whether it's with your family for some daily-exercise or meeting up with a friend for a much-needed catch-up, why not grab a coffee and take a stroll past the neighbourhood's varied and unique public art. Follow this Public Art Trail to make the most of your day together, and see some beautiful and thought-provoking pieces.
Have a picnic with a delicious takeaway
With lockdown rules changed, the rules on outdoor mixing have changed. You will be allowed to enjoy a picnic with members of your household or one other person from a different household - and Wembley Park is the perfect place for this. No matter what kind of cuisine you’re in the mood for, Wembley Park has tasty takeaways that will have you craving more.
One of our favourite Wembley Park things to do is grab a takeaway from one of the BOXPARK Wembley vendors or Pasta Remoli Wembley and dine in the grass or on a bench. After being cooped up all winter long, you're sure to enjoy some handmade pasta in the sunshine. You can see a full list of Wembley Park restaurants offering takeaway here.

Let loose in the play parks
Ok so this is for little ones only but Wembley Park's play parks are the perfect activity to get your kids active and keep them entertained. For the children who fancy themselves intrepid explorers, head to the all-weather play park opposite London Designer Outlet for a fully covered epic adventure that will keep them happy for hours. Suitable for ages 12 and under, the popular playground features a slide, shoot, foundation and two iconic climbing frame towers. For some more chilled out playing, head to Elvin Gardens where your kids will climb for hours around the honeycomb frame.
Get stuck into a Bread Ahead baking workshop
Learning something new is always fun, especially when that learning results in some seriously delicious food. Bread Ahead, one of the country’s most celebrated bakeries, offers a whole host of online courses and workshops for you to get stuck into. Featuring both sweet and savoury bakes from around the world, Bread Ahead offers dozens of online courses. Pizza, sourdough doughnuts, puff pastry, and so much more – buy her a voucher for a specific class or let her choose her favourite.
Shop for treats at Wembley Park Market
Whether you're a present or chocolate kind of person on Easter, Wembley Park Market has you covered. One of the past year's silver linings has been a greater emphasis on shopping local and supporting ethical brands. Wembley Park Market is home to artisanal shops and speciality food traders, all offering goodies and gifts that you can’t get on the High Street.
Be sure to check out their range of sweet treats and artisanal goods to treat your family, friends or just yourself this Easter. If you're big on bank holiday baking, definitely check out Wembley Park Market's range of essential goods, for shopping with less of the guilt.
Stay in and enjoy a takeaway (or two!)
If you fancy staying in and relaxing or just skipping the cooking altogether, why not treat yourself to a decadent takeaway? It's hard to beat being curled up on the sofa, watching your favourite shows and eating delicious food from the best Wembley Park takeaways.
With dozens of different options, everyone can get exactly what they want – especially mum. From gourmet burgers from Nanny Bill’s and coffees from Costa to fresh Greek salads from Opa! and ramen from Wagamama, Wembley Park has a little of whatever you fancy.
