Touch Rugby

Find your team for the evening on the grass at Union Park in the heart of Wembley Park. Coaches from the West London Warriors, the West London Queer Project's own touch rugby team, lead a friendly taster in the UK's fastest-growing team game.

Touch Rugby is easy to pick up, played in mixed-gender teams and open to everyone, whatever your experience or fitness level.

No tackling, no complicated rules, just ninety minutes of running, passing and laughing as you get to know the people around you. Whether you want to get active, try something new or simply meet new faces, it's one of the best ways to do it. When you're done, the night carries on at the Third Half.

The venue

Union Park is Wembley Park's beautiful new public park, opened in 2021 in an iconic location right next to Wembley Stadium. With its pond, fountains and water features, it's a generous open green space in the heart of Wembley Park and the perfect setting for an evening on the grass.

What to bring

Comfortable clothes you can move in and trainers with no metal studs.

Good to know

There's running involved, so a small risk of minor injury, but this is a non-contact sport. Suitable for all abilities. Places are limited, so booking ahead is recommended.

About the team: West London Warriors

The West London Warriors are an inclusive, mixed-gender and mixed-ability LGBTQ+ touch rugby club, founded by the West London Queer Project. They welcome players of all ages and experience levels, as well as allies, and run open training sessions every Saturday from

About our event partner: West London Queer Project

The West London Queer Project (WLQP) is a non-profit Community Interest Company driven by the desire to connect, support and give voice to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and other sexual and gender identifying (LGBTQ+) people in West London. They aim to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people in West London and beyond, offering fun events and a safe, welcoming and supportive space to uplift, empower and connect, alongside advocacy, awareness-raising and change-making work with local policy-makers.

We're proud to be working with WLQP across Wembley Park Pride 2026, and this is just the beginning of what we hope will be a long and ambitious partnership.

Find them at wlqp.org.

About Pride Week at Wembley Park

Wembley Park Pride returns from Sunday 28 June to Sunday 5 July 2026, bringing a week of free events, community connection and celebration to the heart of North West London.

In partnership with the West London Queer Project and a range of local LGBTQ+ organisations, this year's programme invites everyone to come together through movement, creativity, conversation and entertainment. From outdoor yoga beneath the iconic Wembley Stadium arch and Drag Musical Bingo, to Queer Tango, Touch Rugby, zine-making workshops and thought-provoking discussions, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you're looking to meet new people, learn a new skill, celebrate LGBTQ+ culture or simply spend time in a welcoming and inclusive community, Wembley Park Pride offers a variety of experiences across some of Wembley Park's most loved venues and public spaces.

All events are free to attend, but booking is recommended as spaces are limited for selected sessions. Join us for a week of Pride, community and unforgettable moments across Wembley Park.
