The best hotels near Wembley Stadium are all within a fifteen-minute walk of the turnstiles, most of them inside Wembley Park itself. We've spent years living and working on this estate, watching guests arrive for cup finals, concerts, comedy shows and Sunday brunches. The eight hotels in this guide are the ones we'd recommend without hesitation. Whether you're here for ninety thousand fans on matchday or a quiet night before a show at OVO Arena, this is where to stay.
Eight hotels sit within a fifteen-minute walk of Wembley Stadium, split across two clusters: those tight around the stadium itself, and those further north around Wembley Park station and the High Road. Walking times to the stadium turnstiles range from around five minutes (Hilton London Wembley) to fifteen minutes (Wembley Park Hotel). Wembley Park station connects to central London in twelve minutes via the Jubilee or Metropolitan line, with Baker Street the closest interchange. Most hotels are within a short walk of BOXPARK Wembley, London Designer Outlet, and OVO Arena Wembley.
Our seven picks
Eight hotels, seven editorial picks. Two share the final slot because they share a category.
- For matchday: Premier Inn London Wembley Stadium. The budget chain pick in the heart of Wembley Park, about a ten-minute walk to the turnstiles, surrounded by the bars and restaurants you'll want before and after the match.
- For arena nights: Premier Inn London Wembley Park. The other Premier Inn in Wembley Park, slightly further north and within easy reach of Wembley Park station for a quick tube exit after a late concert finish.
- For families: Novotel London Wembley. Stadium views, on-site paid parking, and family room layouts.
- For budget: ibis London Wembley. The lowest-priced option in Wembley Park, about a ten-minute walk to the stadium.
- For style: Hilton London Wembley. The closest hotel to both Wembley Stadium and OVO Arena, with an indoor pool, the Sky Bar 9 rooftop and The Association restaurant on site.
- For independent character: London Wembley International Hotel. The only properly independent hotel in this guide, with the warmth a chain can't fake.
- For a B&B-style stay just outside the Park: St George's Hotel Wembley and Wembley Park Hotel. Smaller, quieter, with the personal touch you'd expect from somewhere this size.
Two clusters, one neighbourhood
Hotels near Wembley Stadium fall neatly into two groups. The first sits tight around the stadium itself, on Lakeside Way and Empire Way, with the closest property putting you inside the bowl in around five minutes. The second clusters around Wembley Park Boulevard and Wembley Park Drive, a slightly longer walk to kick-off but closer to the tube for a quick post-event escape, and a few steps from BOXPARK, the London Designer Outlet, and the restaurants of the wider estate.
Choose the first if you want the shortest walk to the gates and the loudest atmosphere on the way in. Choose the second if you'd rather wake up to a coffee at Bread Ahead and roll into the action with everyone else. Most visitors pick by walking time. Regulars pick by what they want to do before the gates open.
Premier Inn London Wembley Stadium
A reliable budget chain in the heart of Wembley Park.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 9 mins
Best for: matchday-goers who want a budget stay at the centre of the pre-match scene.
About a ten-minute walk to the turnstiles, this Premier Inn sits on Wembley Park Boulevard in the heart of the development, surrounded by the bars, restaurants and street food traders you'll want before and after your event. The rooms are Premier Inn standard, which means clean, quiet, and built around the brand's Hypnos beds, with blackout curtains that genuinely work after a late finish. The on-site Thyme restaurant serves an all-you-can-eat Premier Inn Breakfast, with service typically from around 6.30am, useful when you've got a midday kick-off.
What you're really paying for here is the surroundings. BOXPARK is two minutes away, the bakeries and cafes of the Boulevard are at street level, and the post-match crowd flow heads directly past your door. Book early for fixtures and concert nights, the in-Park Premier Inns sell out faster than the chains further out.
Premier Inn London Wembley Park
A second budget option further north in Wembley Park, near the tube.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 13 mins
Best for: concert-goers and arena visitors who want a budget stay with quick tube access for a late finish.
Sitting on Wembley Park Drive at the northern end of the estate, this Premier Inn is the second of the two budget chain options inside the Park. The walk to OVO Arena and Wembley Stadium is a little over ten minutes either way, slightly further than the in-Park alternatives but compensated by easy access to Wembley Park station for a fast tube exit when the crowds clear.
Rooms are the same dependable Premier Inn standard as the Stadium property, with the same Hypnos beds and the same Thyme restaurant for breakfast. The trade-off versus its sister hotel is being a few minutes further from the heart of the development, balanced by a quieter setting and a quicker route to the underground.
Hilton London Wembley
Four-star, the closest hotel to both Wembley Stadium and OVO Arena, with a rooftop bar overlooking the arch.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 5 mins
Best for: anyone who wants a properly comfortable stay with the shortest walk to their event.
Around five to six minutes from the stadium turnstiles and four from OVO Arena, the Hilton is both the closest hotel to both venues and the most polished property on the estate. The big draws are the indoor pool and steam room, the Sky Bar 9 rooftop with its view of the Wembley arch, and The Association restaurant on the ground floor, one of the better dinner spots in this part of London regardless of where you're staying. Rooms are spacious by London standards, with floor-to-ceiling windows in the higher categories.
This is also the most popular event-night choice on the estate, which means prices climb sharply on cup finals and major concerts. Book three to six months ahead for the big fixtures. For midweek nights without an event, it's often surprisingly good value for a four-star this central.
INSIDER TIP
"Event-day prices on the closest hotels can triple, sometimes worse. The trick is timing. Lock in your room the moment the fixture or concert is announced, ideally direct with the hotel rather than through an aggregator. We routinely see Premier Inn rooms at half the price three months out compared to the week of the event. If you're flexible on dates, midweek non-event nights at the Hilton can come in cheaper than weekend rooms at the budget chains."
Novotel London Wembley
Ten storeys of stadium views and one of the few hotels here with on-site paid parking.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 9 mins
Best for: families and anyone arriving by car.
The Novotel is the family pick on the estate. Many rooms come with sofa beds or family layouts, and in line with Novotel's family policy, children up to fifteen stay free when sharing their parents' room, with breakfast often included free as part of the same offer (worth checking the current terms when you book). The on-site paid parking is a genuine differentiator: most hotels around Wembley don't have it, and on event days street parking is closed off entirely, so a hotel car park changes the trip.
The building itself is ten storeys of glass on Olympic Way, between the stadium and BOXPARK. Stadium-facing rooms on the higher floors can put the Wembley arch directly in view, depending on room category and orientation. Walking time to the gates is around ten minutes, slightly longer if you're herded through the event-day crowd flow on Olympic Way.
London Wembley International Hotel
Independent, with a heritage frontage and the warmth a chain can't fake.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 12 mins
Best for: travellers who'd rather avoid a big-brand stay.
The only fully independent hotel on this list, the Wembley International is the alternative for anyone who finds chain hotels interchangeable. The lobby has more character than anything in the four-star chains around it, the on-site Empire Restaurant serves Indian-influenced cooking that draws non-residents on event nights, and the Mirage Sports Bar shows football alongside cricket and rugby for guests who'd rather stay in than face the post-match crowds.
It's a twelve-minute walk to the stadium, longer than the chains, but the trade-off is the kind of personal welcome you don't get from a Hilton or Novotel. Worth knowing: the rooms vary more in size and style than at the chains, so if you've got a specific layout in mind, request when you book.
ibis London Wembley
The lowest-priced option inside Wembley Park.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 9 mins
Best for: budget travellers who want a clean, no-fuss room close to the action.
The ibis is the price-leader inside the Park, and the room you get for the money is genuinely better than the rate suggests. The signature ibis Sweet Beds are well-reviewed, the on-site bar serves drinks until around eleven with snacks and soft drinks available around the clock, and the property participates in Accor's Planet 21 sustainability programme. Walking time to the stadium is about ten minutes, slightly longer than the Premier Inns but with a noticeably lower price tag on most nights.
There's no destination restaurant on site, but you don't need one. BOXPARK is a short walk away, the Bread Ahead bakery is around the corner, and Masalchi, the Indian restaurant from twice Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar, is close by for anything special.
"Wembley Park isn't just about the stadium. It's packed with food, bars, shops and experiences that make it easy to turn a matchday into a full day out."
St George's Hotel Wembley
A smaller, quieter stay just outside the estate.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 11 mins
Best for: travellers who want a calmer, more personal experience than the chains.
St George's sits just beyond the boundary of Wembley Park itself, which makes it a quieter option than anything on Olympic Way. The hotel is smaller in scale than the chains, with more attention paid per guest, and the rooms are more individually styled than the corporate four-stars. The on-site restaurant works well for a relaxed dinner before an early night.
It's an eleven-minute walk to the stadium, comparable to the chains in this guide. The slight extra distance is the price of the quieter setting, and many guests count it as a feature rather than a downside. Best paired with a non-event night or a smaller fixture, where the calm is a positive rather than a missed opportunity to be in the thick of it.
Wembley Park Hotel
Independent, B&B-scale, just outside the Park's main bowl.
Walking distance to Wembley Stadium: 14 mins
Best for: travellers who want B&B character without sacrificing proximity.
The Wembley Park Hotel is the smaller, more intimate sister option to St George's, and the two are best considered together. Like St George's, it sits just beyond the main estate boundary, which keeps it quieter on event nights when Olympic Way is at full crowd capacity. The scale is closer to a B&B than a hotel proper, with a small number of rooms and an owner-operator feel that the chains can't replicate.
A walk of around fifteen minutes to the stadium puts it slightly further out than Wembley International, but the experience is different: smaller, calmer, more personal. Worth it for a longer stay or a quieter occasion, less ideal if you're prioritising the shortest possible walk to your seat.
MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT
Eight reasons to stay an extra night
A hotel near Wembley Stadium gets you to the gates. The estate around it gives you a reason to stay longer. From the largest collection of street food in north-west London to a Pixar exhibition that draws families from across the country, here's what to do when the match is over.
Eat, drink and unwind at BOXPARK Wembley
If you're staying at any of the eight hotels in this guide, BOXPARK Wembley will be your default evening venue, whether you've planned it or not. Over twenty street-food traders, three bars, and kitchens that often stay open later on major event days make it the natural place to land after check-in. On event nights it transforms into the unofficial fan park, with big screens, live music, and the kind of atmosphere you'd struggle to manufacture anywhere else on the estate.
It's a two-minute walk from every hotel inside the Park, and five minutes at most from St George's and Wembley Park Hotel.
WHERE TO EAT NEAR YOUR HOTEL
Nine restaurants, all a short walk from the estate
Wembley Park has over 50 places to eat and drink, all a short walk from the stadium. These nine are the ones we'd recommend first, ranging from a restaurant by a twice Michelin-starred chef to the bakery that supplies half of London's good doughnuts.

How we choose the best hotels near Wembley Stadium
We've worked on the Wembley Park estate for over a decade, watching hotels open, refurbish, and adjust their offer around the calendar of events at the stadium and arena. Every hotel in this guide has been visited in person by the Wembley Park team, with at least one stay in the past two years.
Our criteria are walking time to the stadium and arena, value for money against comparable London options, the consistency of the guest experience across event and non-event nights, and the relevance of each hotel to a clearly defined audience. We don't accept payment from any hotel for inclusion. We don't take affiliate commissions. The links on this page go directly to each hotel's official website rather than to a booking aggregator, so you book on the same terms the hotel itself offers.
